President of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro made a sharp statement on the international stage. According to him, the Third World War is not some kind of assumption or threat, but a process that has already effectively begun. The head of state announced this in an interview with the television channel “Russia Today.”
Expressing his opinion, Maduro recalled that Pope Francis two years ago said that the world was moving towards a third world war. “I believe that this process has already begun. A series of conflicts and tense situations on the world map are clear proof of this,” he said.
The leader of Venezuela also named the United States as the main source of global conflicts. In his opinion, Washington’s main goal is to ensure political, economic, and military hegemony on a global scale. Maduro emphasized that U.S. plans have led the world to instability and intensified armed clashes in various regions.
It is known that representatives of the U.S. military circles have also made sharp statements regarding Venezuela. In particular, U.S. War Minister Pete Hegseth stated that if the country’s leader makes a decision, American troops may be ready for regime change in Caracas.
Meanwhile, former U.S. President Donald Trump also made a harsh remark about Maduro. He called the Venezuelan leader “the worst president in history,” but officially rejected military plans against him.
At the same time, as was announced last month on the social network X page of U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, a reward of 50 million dollars was promised for information that would help arrest Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. This step further aggravated contradictions between the countries.
According to experts, the situation on the global political scene is sharply escalating. Conflicts flaring up in different regions and contradictions between major powers pose a serious threat to world peace. Maduro’s statement that “the Third World War has begun” will undoubtedly provoke new discussions in the global political environment.
