In UAE, lack of promised alcohol brought tourist to court

A Russian woman’s vacation unexpectedly turned into a court case. She had chosen one of the hotels in the United Arab Emirates with an “all-inclusive” service. However, upon arrival at the resort, the tourist discovered that the promised alcoholic beverages were not available.

Trusting the tour operator’s advertisements, the woman had to travel to another emirate to obtain drinks. This led to additional expenses and, according to her, “moral suffering.”

As a result, she filed a lawsuit against the tour operator, demanding 300,000 rubles as material and moral compensation. The court ruled in favor of the plaintiff but limited the payment amount to 30,000 rubles.

This incident once again reminded tourists of the importance of clarifying all conditions before traveling.
