Three Uzbek citizens died as a result of an explosion in Kazakhstan.

A horrific explosion in the Almaty region of the Republic of Kazakhstan has led to tragic consequences. According to official data, on September 11, a powerful explosion occurred at the LGN Metal metal receiving enterprise located in the Ili district, killing three Uzbek citizens.

This incident was previously reported by local media, and the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan officially confirmed the incident. Currently, the necessary formalization procedures are being carried out to return the bodies of the deceased to their homeland.

The explosion is said to have occurred in the village of Bayserke. Currently, the district police have opened a criminal case under the article "Violation of labor protection rules, causing human death." The investigation is ongoing.

According to the owner of the enterprise, Amirbek Sherbayev, there is a high probability that anti-tank mines will be among the metal waste. He noted that this workshop was previously leased by a Chinese company, and they purchased various scrap metal at low prices. However, it is assumed that there were military debris and unused mines among them.

"An explosion occurred in the foundry of our workshop. We don't know the exact reason yet, but it's quite possible that dangerous military equipment was involved. All law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene and began an investigation," Sherbayev said.

On the Uzbek side, the Migration Agency announced that regional officials have been assigned to provide practical assistance to the relatives of the deceased citizens. It was also noted that close cooperation is being carried out with the investigative bodies of Kazakhstan.
