White House leader Donald Trump commented on the relationship between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to him, the two politicians "horoughly hate each other," so they have to be seated at the negotiating table.
This was reported by the Bloomberg television channel.
"You know, these two people - Putin and Zelenskyy - absolutely dislike each other. "It is clear that we will have to sit down at the negotiating table together with them," the American president said, commenting on the meeting of the leaders of Russia and Ukraine.
Trump emphasized that such high-level dialogue could yield "significant results" in resolving the crisis in Ukraine.
Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, also expressed his position. According to him, potential negotiations between Putin and Zelenskyy will not be effective if carried out without serious preparation. Moscow demands thorough preparation in this direction.
Thus, the possibility of another important meeting in the world political arena is becoming the focus of discussion.
