On September 19, US President Donald Trump announced a new initiative - the "Trump Gold Card." Through this special card, individuals and corporations will be able to obtain accelerated residency rights in the United States.
According to the information, the starting price of the card is set at $1 million. For corporations, this amount is expected to increase to $2 million in the future. Trump stated that the project could attract over $100 billion in the short term. According to him, these funds should be used to reduce taxes, invest in economic development projects, and help reduce public debt.
The map's design is also unique: a portrait of the president, American symbols - the eagle, the Statue of Liberty, and the flag - are depicted on a golden background. On the left side is the inscription "Trump Gold Card."
"For many years, millions of illegal immigrants have flooded our country, and our immigration system has been disrupted. Now is the time for law-abiding individuals and taxpayers to benefit from our legal immigration program," Trump wrote in his statement.
The card is equated to visa status on the official website. At the same time, there is a possibility of its cancellation due to national security or other factors.
The administration also plans to implement the "Trump Platinum Card" project. With this special card, foreigners have the right to reside in the USA for up to 270 days per year and do not pay taxes on income outside the USA. This card is expected to replace travel visas.
Experts believe this initiative could bring a new color to immigration policy in the US. However, it is natural that the project will also cause a number of disputes and discussions among the public.
