On Wednesday, September 24, the Russian army launched a joint offensive against a training unit of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian military stated on Facebook that several types of weapons were used during this strike, including two Iskander ballistic missiles.
A statement published on the Ukrainian troops' official website stated that despite security measures being taken against personnel as a result of the targeted strike, it was not possible to completely prevent the losses. The number of victims and the exact location of the incident have not yet been disclosed.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force reported missile and drone strikes on areas where Ukrainian army training centers are located in the Chernihiv region. These attacks once again showed that military infrastructure in Ukraine is at risk.
According to the Ukrainian military, work is currently underway to equip training centers, training grounds, and other military facilities with reliable shelters to protect the lives and health of personnel. At the same time, additional security measures are being taken to protect personnel during missile and air strikes launched by the enemy.
Officials emphasized that such measures are aimed at reducing potential future losses and protecting personnel from heavy blows. Therefore, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to strengthen its security system.
