A large infrastructure project is being implemented in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku. For the first time in the history of the country's metro, a two-story metro station is being built.
According to Mamed Rizayev, a representative of the Baku Metro press service, the new station, named B-4, will be commissioned by the end of next year. Its main feature is that it is being built in a two-story style.
According to the data, more than 80 percent of the construction has been completed so far. This, in turn, gives confidence that the commissioning of the station will be completed within the established timeframe.
Station B-4 is the fifth station of the Purple Line and is registered as the 28th station in the subway system. It is expected to create additional convenience for passengers due to its location between the Heydar Aliyev Sports Complex and the Clinical Medical Center.
Local specialists note that the new station will not only facilitate the passenger flow of the capital, but will also mark the beginning of a new architectural and technical stage in the Baku metro.
