U.S. fighter jets took to the air to monitor Russian military aircraft near Alaska. This was reported by CBS News.
According to reports, two Russian Tu-95s and two Su-35s entered Alaska’s air defense identification zone. To track them, U.S. forces deployed an E-3 radar aircraft, four F-16 fighters, and four KC-135 refueling aircraft.
In a statement, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) emphasized that the mission was carried out without any unexpected incidents, and all aircraft returned to their bases as planned.
