Zane Smith survived at 200 mph in NASCAR

During the second stage of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs in Kansas, driver Zane Smith was involved in an unexpected incident. According to Fox Sports, his car, traveling at 200 mph (320 km/h), hit a barrier, traveled several hundred meters, went over the wall, and flipped.

The accident occurred in one of the final laps of the race. Driver Hunter Nemechek caused a collision with Smith’s car, which resulted in Zane’s vehicle hitting the barrier and creating a dangerous situation.

“It was an absolutely insane race, no doubt about it. Nemechek completely destroyed me. He just passed me, then I slid through the wall,” Smith said after the race.

Fortunately, the driver was not seriously injured. The race was stopped for 9 minutes so that NASCAR safety crews could remove Smith from the car and ensure his condition.

It should be noted that earlier this year Hollywood star Keanu Reeves also made his debut in professional racing. However, in his very first attempt, his car went off the track.
