A severe tragedy in the village of Arerti, Ethiopia, occurred during religious ceremonies. The large trees used as supports in the church fell. As a result, 22 people died and 55 were injured. The tragedy continued with the delivery of seriously wounded to hospitals in the capital, Addis Ababa. According to local media sources, people may have been trapped under the fallen trees.
