Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy categorically rejected Russia's demand to relinquish the Donetsk region. This was reported by local and foreign media.
It was previously reported that during Zelenskyy's meeting with US President Donald Trump, Washington's special envoy, Steve Whitkoff, attempted to persuade the Ukrainian leader to withdraw troops from the Donetsk region. However, Zelenskyy completely rejected this proposal.
The Ukrainian leader also announced that he met with military commanders today to discuss increasing the number of long-range strikes on Russian territory.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine will not relinquish any of the territories occupied by Russia, regardless of the situation. According to him, the preservation of the country's integrity and territories is the most important task for Ukraine.
