The Land of Wilderness theme park, located in China's Yunnan province, has been heavily criticized for intimidating visitors with its sculptures, according to CNA.
Some sculptures in the park - including the shore-like man and the three-headed girl sculpture - were rated "terrible" by visitors. Many users on social media wrote that these exhibits made the park atmosphere "like a horror film, not a fairy tale."
According to reports, the park was opened in 2020 by artist Qiao Xiaodao, who aimed to create a "world of fairy tales" for his daughter. But not everyone liked the bizarre designs.
After the criticism, the park administration officially apologized and, taking into account public opinion, removed some statues.
"We value the opinions of visitors and are working on improving the park's atmosphere," the park's statement said.
