Russians have chosen Turkey as their main vacation destination this summer as well. According to the analysis of the Unified Interdepartmental Information and Statistical System, in July-September 2025, the population of Russia visited this country 2.7 million times - the highest figure in the last four years.
Compared to last year, the flow of tourists increased by 6.4%. These figures indicate that Turkey remains one of the most popular destinations for Russian tourists. The last time such activity was observed was in 2021, with 2.8 million trips recorded during the same period.
In the first nine months of 2025, 5.3 million Russians visited Turkey. For comparison, before the pandemic, the figures were slightly higher - in the first three quarters of 2019, 5.9 million people visited it. Experts attribute the growing interest in the country to a favorable visa-free regime, stable flights, and relatively low prices for recreation.
Antalya, Alania, and Bodrum remain favorite places for family trips and beach holidays. Russian tourists praise the high level of service, packages that include all services, and a pleasant climate that extends the season almost to the end of October.
