1440 tons of gold were found in China - a historic record!

The largest gold mine in the country's history has been discovered in Liaoning Province in northeastern China, the Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources reported on its WeChat page.

Geologists have determined that the gold reserves of the Dadonggou deposit are 1,440 tons. This amount is significantly larger than previously known deposits in China, taking the country's gold mining potential to a new level.

According to the data, the gold concentration in the mine is 0.56 grams per ton of ore. The ore body is located at a length of 3100 meters, at a depth of 115 to 913 meters. Its average thickness is 263 meters, and its maximum reaches 513 meters.

The Ministry's statement notes that this project will increase China's strategic gold reserves and play an important role in forming a world-class gold mining center in Liaoning Province.
