The US has reported on another nuclear test conducted during the summer season. Official information on this matter was published by the Sandia Laboratory, which operates within the Ministry of Energy.
According to reports, a modern F-35 fighter jet dropped B61-12 type nuclear bombs without a warhead at the Tonopa test site in Nevada. These exercises were conducted on August 19-21 and are said to have the purpose of testing the reliability of the US nuclear arsenal and improving the skills of pilots.
It is noted that the service life of the B61-12 bombs of this model was extended by another 20 years in 2024. This indicates that Washington will maintain its nuclear program as a long-term strategic direction.
