Special Envoy of the US President, Dan Driscoll, is holding talks with Russian representatives in Abu Dhabi today. Politico, citing sources, writes that the main topic of the meetings is Donald Trump's peace program aimed at ending the war. Driscoll arrived in Abu Dhabi on the evening of November 24, and another meeting is expected today.
Change following the Ukrainian protest
At the talks in Abu Dhabi, Driskoll is the only high-ranking official representing the US position, as other representatives who held talks with Ukrainians in Geneva have already returned to Washington. Driscoll departed for the meeting with the Russian delegation with a new version, an improved peace plan consisting of 19 points, which was amended after the Ukrainian side's objections.
Which items were removed?
According to media sources, the most controversial points have been removed from the new version. ABC News noted that it does not contain a demand for a reduction in the number of Ukrainian armed forces and a full amnesty for actions during the conflict. Also, due to the strong resistance of the European Union, the clause on the allocation of only $100 billion from Russia's frozen assets for the restoration of Ukraine was removed. Politico writes that regional issues have been removed from the planned program and left for a dialogue between Trump and Zelenskyy.
Disputed Clauses Removed or Radically Modified (Content of Clause 9)

Agreement and Refutation
Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine, announced that the US and Ukraine had reached a "common agreement" on the plan during negotiations in Geneva. However, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the US has not yet officially introduced Russia to the new version of the plan. Nevertheless, he confirmed that he considers the initial 28-point plan "a very good basis for negotiations."
