Russia Attacks Zaporizhzhia: 12 Injured

On Tuesday, Russian forces carried out a drone attack on the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia, causing fires and injuring 12 people. Regional governor Ivan Fedorov reported that several buildings, shops, and cars were damaged. The injured are being treated in local hospitals.
Emergency teams operated at 12 locations across the city. Firefighters fought fires in buildings, while police and medical staff assisted with evacuation and aid. Authorities said the fires were under control.
Although Russian forces control much of the Zaporizhzhia region, the city remains under Ukrainian control. The attack highlights ongoing risks to infrastructure and civilians.
According to Yevgeny Belitsky, the Russian-appointed regional head, Ukrainian forces struck power lines in Russian-controlled areas, leaving about 40,000 people without electricity. The incident shows continued challenges for safety and services in the region.
