Among the world's largest international airports, Atlanta - Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, located in the US state of Georgia, once again demonstrated its superiority. By the end of 2024, this airport set an absolute record, serving more than 108 million passengers.

Several factors influenced Atlanta's achievement of such high indicators. Firstly, it is within a 2-3 hour flight distance to approximately 80% of US territory. From here, direct flights are operated to 225 cities around the world. There are flights to all continents except Antarctica. A significant portion of airport traffic - about 85% - is accounted for by domestic routes.

Atlanta Airport also operates the world's largest automated baggage system. The 100-kilometer conveyors are capable of sorting 60 thousand suitcases per hour. Passengers will travel between terminals using the SkyTrain high-speed train.

The second place in the rating was taken by Dubai International Airport - 92.3 million passengers were served during the year. The following places are occupied by the US airports Dallas/Fort Worth (85 million passengers), Haneda in Tokyo, and Hitrou in London.

In terms of cargo transportation, the leading position belongs to the Hong Kong airport - more than 5 million tons of cargo were processed per year.
