North Korean leader Kim Jong Un made an important statement regarding the future of the country's military aviation. He emphasized that the DPRK Air Force will soon be equipped with entirely new weapons of strategic importance, thereby placing an even more "important task" on the army.
According to the Korean Central News Agency, Kim Jong Un emphasized the party's and the country's leadership's trust in aviation. He noted that "the Air Force of the Democratic Republic of Korea is expected to be enriched with strategic military resources, while simultaneously assuming new, decisive tasks."
Kim Jong Un made this statement at an event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Air Force. According to him, with the introduction of new strategic resources and special technologies, the DPRK's aviation will become the most important pillar of the country's defense potential.
At the same time, he noted that the air force is now "playing an active role in the nuclear barrier." In the leader's opinion, these units must respond firmly and decisively to all possible types of espionage, air threats, and possible military provocations by the enemy.
In recent years, it has been observed that the DPRK is strengthening its military program, in particular, increasing attention to the expansion of missile technologies and nuclear capabilities. Kim Jong-un's latest statement shows that the country's military aviation is also rising to a new level in the strategic direction.
