French President Emmanuel Macron announced that the phone ban in secondary schools in the country will be extended to upper grades starting next academic year.
Starting in 2025, the "digital break" rule will be gradually implemented. To date, this new policy has been successfully tested in about one hundred schools.
According to Macron, this measure is aimed at reducing loneliness and mental health problems among young people. It is believed that spending too much time on social networks can have a negative impact, especially on students.
