The latest incident of domestic violence in Kyrgyzstan's Chuy region has once again caused public concern. According to reports, the 47-year-old woman died as a result of brutal violence she suffered from her husband. This was reported by the regional Main Department of Internal Affairs.
According to the report, on December 4, based on a complaint received from the Sokuluk district, the investigative team arrived in the village of Blijniy Orol. The body of a woman born in 1978 was found there. During the initial examination, numerous bruises, crushes, and traces of severe blows were found on his body. The deceased was sent to the morgue and a forensic medical examination was ordered.
According to experts, the cause of the woman's death was a closed head injury, a concussion, and skin injuries caused by repeated impacts. During the investigation, it was established that the citizen was brutally beaten by her husband, who had consumed alcohol the day before.
In accordance with the law, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 130 of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm). A man born in 1969 - the husband of the deceased - was detained and placed in a temporary detention center. A pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
We remind you that such extremely serious incidents have been recorded before. Recently, it was reported that former advisor to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Yerzhan Bobokumarov, was also beaten to death in Kazakhstan.
The fight against domestic violence remains a pressing issue for the region today. Experts note the need for early detection of such cases, strengthening legal protection, and raising public awareness.
