Heavy rains have caused flooding in the US

Heavy rains in the northwestern Pacific Ocean on December 11 caused flooding in several US states. As a result, roads were closed, railway lines were damaged, and tens of thousands of people were evacuated.

The US National Weather Service reported that the main epicenter of this disorder was in Western Washington. A flood warning has been issued in the Cascade and Olympic Mountains, the Puget Sound area, and northern Oregon.

A system of strong hurricanes from the Pacific Ocean is called the atmospheric river and caused heavy rains at the beginning of this week. The storm spread from northern Oregon to Washington state, Canada, British Columbia, western Montana, and northern Idaho, causing major flooding.

Approximately 100,000 residents in the western regions of Washington state received a "level 3 evacuation order." They were rural residents of Skadget County, north of Seattle.

It was also reported that floods caused by rains occurred in Malaysia, injuring more than 11,000 people.
