In Australia, events were held to honor the victims of an armed attack that occurred in the Bondi Beach area of Sydney. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese ordered a review of the country’s law enforcement and intelligence agencies. He said that under the current security conditions, state institutions must be fully prepared to ensure public safety. The results of the review will be announced in the coming months.
Authorities are investigating the attack as a terrorist act targeting Jews. Following the incident, security measures were strengthened across the country and efforts to combat hate-based crimes were intensified.
