Yesterday, on December 21, a shocking incident occurred at one of the higher education institutions located in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan. A university student attacked one of the professors with a knife.
According to available information, the incident took place directly on the university campus. Reports circulating on social media indicate that an ordinary kitchen knife was used during the attack. Videos from the scene have also sparked widespread discussion.
Kazakhstan’s law enforcement authorities immediately launched an investigation into the incident. Initially, it was reported that the suspect was wanted, but it was later confirmed that he had been detained and is currently in custody.
At present, a criminal case has been opened and investigative actions are ongoing. The motives behind the attack, the relationship between the student and the injured professor, as well as other details of the incident are being clarified.
Official sources have not yet provided information about the condition of the injured professor. It is stated that additional details will be released after the investigation is completed.
