In Japan, the highway, where 67 cars collided, reopened in 1.5 days

After a major road accident involving 67 vehicles in Japan, traffic on the Kanyesu highway was restored in a short period of time. The road section remained closed for almost 38 hours - more than a day and a half.

According to preliminary data, the accident began after a large truck slid down the slope after a turn. Passenger cars following him collided one after another, resulting in a chain-link accident.

As a result of the tragedy, two people died, and 26 citizens were injured to varying degrees. At least 20 cars caught fire due to a strong collision and fuel leak.

Emergency services quickly rescued the destroyed vehicles, cleaned the road surface, and restored safety. As a result, traffic on the highway was restored faster than scheduled.
