Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has denied Russia's claims that Ukraine carried out a drone attack on President Putin's residence. Russian officials said 91 drones were sent to the residence in Novgorod region, but Zelensky called it “Russian lies.” Russia reported all drones were destroyed and there were no casualties or damage.
Zelensky urged the world not to stay silent while attacks from Russia continue. He reminded that Russia had previously targeted government buildings in Kyiv and stressed the need to defend Ukraine and achieve peace.
These claims came after talks in Florida between Zelensky and US President Donald Trump. Zelensky said the war could end in 2026, and discussions continue on security guarantees and disputed areas, including the Zaporizhzhia plant and Donbas region under Russian control.
Currently, Russia controls much of eastern Ukraine, including large parts of Donetsk and Luhansk. Both sides hold different views on the peace plan, and Russia maintains a military presence while Ukraine and the US continue negotiations.
