The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement regarding the incident that occurred in the city of Khabarovsk. This was reported by upl.uzreports.
Reports spread on social media that on December 12, 2025, in Russia’s city of Khabarovsk, an Uzbek citizen was beaten by OMON officers, and during a raid at a café a group of compatriots were brutally assaulted. It is said that two of them fell into a coma, and later one of them died.
According to the ministry, Uzbekistan’s Consulate General is currently in постоян contact with the deceased’s relatives and is providing them with the necessary consular and practical assistance. Work is also underway to transport the body to Uzbekistan.
Regarding the situation, the Consulate General sent diplomatic notes to the Khabarovsk Krai Prosecutor’s Office, the investigative department, and the representative office of Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Khabarovsk, requesting a comprehensive, impartial, and lawful investigation.
So far, there is no officially confirmed information on the causes of the citizen’s death. It was stated that additional details will be provided to the public as soon as precise information is obtained from the competent authorities.
Information about the second citizen mentioned on social media has not yet been confirmed.
