Russia's massive strike on Kryvyi Rih: missile, drone, blackout...

On Thursday, January 8, Russia launched a massive strike on the city of Kryvyi Rih with the simultaneous use of various weapons. As a result, at least 12 people were injured, including one child.
According to information provided by the heads of the military administration of the Dnipropetrovsk region and the city defense council, the number of victims was initially reported as 9, but later increased again. Among them was a person in critical condition: it was reported that his leg was torn off as a result of the explosion.
It was reported that two ballistic missiles were first launched into the city from the Iskander complex, after which Kriviy Rig was attacked by drones. As a result of the blows, apartment buildings were damaged, and on witness footage, it can be seen that at least one building caught fire.
According to media and local reports, after the attack, there were interruptions in electricity, heating, and water supply in the city. It is said that the most severe of these strikes occurred when the Kriviy Rig was partially without electricity even after yesterday's shelling.
On the same day, the situation in the southern Kherson region was also difficult: reports of casualties and injuries as a result of Russian shelling, as well as the drone dropping explosives on a civilian car near the village of Taras Shevchenko, spread.
A complex picture is also developing on the energy front: after large-scale strikes on the evening of January 7, attempts are underway to partially restore power supply in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. According to DTEK, by noon on January 8, hundreds of thousands of consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk region were still without electricity.
In short, the January 8th attacks dealt a heavy blow not only to people's lives but also to the daily lives of cities: houses were damaged, fires were observed, and infrastructure disruptions occurred. Now the most important issue is the speedy restoration of rescue operations, assistance, and supply systems.
