Iran says it has evidence linking the US and Israel to the events

The Iranian government is closely monitoring the large-scale protest demonstrations taking place in the country. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Sky News. He said the nationwide protests are now “fully under control.”
According to Araghchi, Tehran has extensive evidence of US and Israeli involvement in the latest events in the country. “We have many documents and pieces of evidence linking the US and Israel to terrorist actions in Iran in recent days,” the minister said.
The minister also pointed to remarks by former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Araghchi claimed Pompeo acknowledged that “Mossad agents took part in the unrest and directed this terrorist act.”
Iran’s foreign minister also criticized Western countries. He said these governments are backing an unusual political line by blaming Iran’s police rather than the perpetrators of terrorism.
As a reminder, large-scale protests have continued in Iran since late December. Demonstrators are demanding a change to the political system. According to the human rights group HRANA, at least 544 people have been killed so far. Iranian officials accuse the US and Israel of organizing the protests.
In this way, the Iranian government is strengthening internal security, firmly demonstrating its control and its stance against Western states. This situation could also have a major impact on the region’s political landscape.
