Zelenskyy stated that the territorial issue cannot be resolved without dialogue with Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy openly stated the most important condition for resolving territorial issues with Russia: without direct dialogue with Vladimir Putin, it is difficult to reach a serious agreement in this direction. He expressed this opinion in an interview with Český rozhlas radio.

According to the head of state, Ukraine is open to negotiations in various formats: both Russia and the US can participate in this process. But when it comes to the fate of the regions, the decision is not about "active delegations," but still comes down to dialogue at the highest political level.

Zelenskyy also touched upon the rumors surrounding the peace plan regarding the "change of territories": he said he heard this from some politicians, but not from Donald Trump.

The real situation today is that both the demands and the opposing positions are firm. For example, in the scenarios highlighted by Reuters sources, it was stated that the Russian side put forward conditions such as the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from certain eastern territories. At the same time, Kyiv is firm on this issue: the Ukrainian leadership repeatedly emphasizes that it does not want to give up the territories - ABC News also wrote about this.

Now the focus is on one question: will there be a real opportunity for direct communication, or will negotiations again turn into a "difficult stage"? According to Zelenskyy, the topic of the region is precisely such an "unattainable threshold" - it requires leadership-level talk to raise it.
