In the context of escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, the Israeli army is intensifying its preparations for potentially tense scenarios. This was announced by Eyal Zamir, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Israel, during a meeting with senior command staff.
According to him, the army is simultaneously calculating the situation in several directions and strengthening the "readiness" regime for various scenarios. That is, it is necessary to be ready not only for defense, but also for offensive operations on various fronts of the war, if necessary.
At the same time, Eyal Zamir emphasized the need to learn from the unexpected attack carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023. This event left Israel with great losses and painful questions in the security system.
Against the backdrop of current statements, one thing is clear: the region is once again "on the nerves." At such a time, both sides take every signal seriously - which means there is a high probability that both diplomacy and military training will intensify in parallel in the coming weeks.
