A camel registration system has been introduced in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has announced the introduction of special identification documents - passports - for camels. This was announced by the country's Ministry of Environmental Protection, Water Resources Management, and Agriculture.
According to the new procedure, a camel passport is an officially accredited document that records the personal data of each camel, its breed, and the full details of the owner.

This system will strengthen control over livestock, as well as facilitate their identification, health monitoring, and the identification of property owners. According to officials, this innovative approach will serve to increase discipline and safety in the field of camel breeding.
