Moscow expressed its opposition to the US proposal to transfer the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) to American control to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
Reuters news agency reported this, citing sources.
According to the plan proposed by Washington, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant will be transferred under US control, and the electricity generated there will be distributed equally between Russia and Ukraine.
However, sources emphasize that Russia strongly demands that this facility remain solely under Moscow's control. At the same time, the Ukrainian side considers this initiative an unacceptable proposal.
According to Reuters sources, the territorial issue remains open. Ukraine has expressed its intention to resolve the terms of the peace agreement, including the regional clause, through a referendum.
