In India, the age of marriage is increasing

Over the past ten years, among Indian bachelors the average age of getting married has risen from 27 to 29, The Tribune newspaper reported.

Experts explain this shift with very simple, but real-life reasons: achieving financial stability, building a career, and being personally ready have started to carry greater value than getting married early. That is, many choose the path of “not rushing, first getting on their feet.”

The study results showed another interesting picture: the number of those who want to remarry has also increased noticeably. If ten years ago 11 percent of platform users expressed a desire to get married for the second time, then in 2025 this figure reached 16 percent.

At the same time, the situation in Uzbekistan is also noteworthy. According to the latest data from the National Statistics Committee, the main share of registered marriages in Uzbekistan is made up of people aged 20–30: 78.7 percent of men and 53.5 percent of women get married at exactly this age.
