New Mexico to open an investigation into Epstein Ranch

In New Mexico, lawmakers approved the initiation of the first full-scale investigation into the events surrounding the Zorro Ranch, owned by Jeffrey Epstein. According to Reuters, the initiative was unanimously supported by state legislators.
According to the document, a two-party "truth commission" will be formed: it will request testimony from victims, as well as call on the local population to testify. The commission also intends to verify whether there were any visits to the ranch and possible negligence or awareness.
According to Reuters, separate funding is planned for the investigation, and the commission is expected to submit preliminary results in July and a final report by the end of 2026.
The ranch itself is reported to be located approximately 30 miles south of Santa Fe. Officials emphasize that this time "the issue will not be closed": there have been attempts to investigate in previous years as well, but it has not been fully completed.
