PSG is protesting against Mbappe: there is a risk of court execution

The reigning Champions League and French championship winner, Paris Saint-Germain, may face further enforcement measures in a lawsuit involving Kylian Mbappé. According to court decisions, the club was obligated to pay the player over €60 million. However, Real Madrid striker's representatives say that this amount still lacks 2 million euros. Currently, Mbappé's legal team is reportedly working to recover the remaining funds.

This financial conflict between PSG and Mbappé has deepened further following a court decision in December 2025. Although the club has repaid a large portion of the debt, the player's side still maintains a firm position precisely because of the "difference" of 2 million euros. According to reports, Mbappé's lawyers are not excluding the possibility of sending bailiffs to the club's administrative offices if necessary.

The dispute is related to the decision of the Paris Industrial Court. The court ordered PSG to pay Mbappé a total of €60 million. This amount includes unpaid salaries, signing bonuses, and interest. Initially, the Parisians transferred €55 million, then added another €4 million after the intervention of the executive authorities. However, according to the player's claim, the final €2 million has not yet been fully paid.

At the same time, PSG claims to have fully fulfilled its obligations. According to the club's position, the controversial discrepancy stems from technical calculations related to taxes and social security contributions.

This dispute takes on a broader meaning for PSG than simple calculations - it has become a matter of public reputation. According to some reports, the club intends to reach an agreement with Mbappé to avoid the obligation to publish the full text of the court decision on the official website's homepage within a month. However, the player's side has no intention of waiving either €2 million or the announcement obligation.

Financial details of the court decision

The court set Mbappé's monthly gross salary at €11.8 million. The decree specifies the following payments:

• 36.6 million euros - the third part of the signing bonus;

• €3.6 million - vacation money;

• 17.2 million euros - salary for April, May and June 2024;

• 1.7 million euros - vacation pay for this period;

• 1.5 million euros - "ethics bonus";

• €150,000 - related vacation payment;

• 5 thousand euros - court costs.

The court also denied PSG's claims that "Mbappe voluntarily refused bonuses when he was dismissed from the squad in 2023." This is reportedly the second independent decision in the footballer's favor.

In short, PSG might call this a "technical issue," but for Mbappe's side, it's a principle. Now the most interesting point: how will the club cover the remaining 2 million and to what extent will this dispute escalate.
