Iran's cheap drone disables US billionaire radar

According to the Gorizont Telegram channel, the US-owned strategic radar system located in Qatar was disabled as a result of the Iranian strike.

It was reported that the AN/FPS-132 radar, located on the territory of the Al-Udeid airbase and valued at approximately $1 billion, was indeed hit. This military facility, located in the territory of Qatar, is one of the most important links of the US missile defense system.

The radar complex is said to be capable of controlling a vast territory from Europe to the Indian Ocean. According to sources, there are six radars of this type worldwide, and in addition to the US, they are also installed in the UK and Greenland.

The technical potential of the station at the Al-Udeid airbase is very high, allowing it to detect even possible missile launches from Russian territory at a distance of more than 5,000 kilometers.

Therefore, experts emphasize that tracking missiles or drones launched from Iranian territory was considered a simple task for this system. However, the fact that such a high-tech radar was hit by a cheap drone further increases interest in the incident.
