Among the debris of an Iranian Shahed-136 drone targeting the British RAF Akrotiri airbase in Cyprus, a Russian-developed Kometa-M type radio-electronic interference receiver was discovered.
According to experts, this system is also widely used in drones and missiles currently used by the Russian army. Therefore, the discovered equipment indicates that there is mutual cooperation and information exchange between Iran and Russia in the field of military technologies.
It is noted that receivers of the same type were also observed on strike drones and missiles used by Russia on the territory of Ukraine.
According to analysts, this situation indicates the increase in the technical capabilities of Iranian drones and the deepening of ties between the two countries in the military-industrial sphere.
