Iran's new tactics blinded US defense system

Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, an Iranian missile strike has caused significant damage to US military infrastructure in the region. According to CNN analysis, the AN/TPY-2 radar, the primary 'eyes' of the THAAD air defense system at the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, has been completely destroyed.

Satellite imagery confirms the destruction of this high-value equipment, worth 500 million dollars. Experts believe this radar is the heart of the THAAD complex. Its failure renders the entire battery 'blind', drastically reducing the ability to detect and intercept ballistic missiles.

This Iranian attack signals a new military strategy. Attacks are now targeting not the missiles themselves, but the sensor systems that guide and track them. This is a dangerous tactic aimed at reducing the effectiveness of US defense systems. Given that the US has only 8 THAAD batteries, replacing the destroyed radar will require reallocating security systems from other regions.

Earlier, there were reports of strikes on THAAD infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates. Iran's ability to strike accurately from a distance of over 800 kilometers could have a serious impact on the military balance in the region.
