The US Air Force is significantly expanding its capabilities at Fairford Air Base, located in the southwest of the UK. According to The Guardian, these actions are being assessed as part of preparations for potential strikes on Iranian territory.
According to reports, two US-owned Boeing C 17 transport aircraft arrived at the base on Sunday. These aircraft delivered ammunition and spare parts necessary for the strategic B 1 Lancer bombers. Earlier, on Friday and Saturday, four B 1 model bombers were deployed to the base.
Currently, against the backdrop of escalating tensions in the Middle East, Washington is strengthening military readiness in cooperation with its allies. Experts consider these logistical moves as measures taken to achieve strategic goals in the region.
