The arduous ascent process for people living in China's mountainous regions has now become history. A true masterpiece of engineering has been erected in the Ushan district near the city of Chunsin. For many years, meeting basic household needs - going to work or shopping - has been a real challenge for residents of the Ushan district. People spent at least an hour each time climbing up steep cliffs and winding paths, like snake trails.
February 2026: Historic Opening
At the end of February 2026, while Chinese New Year celebrations were underway, the Wushan Goddess Escalator complex was ceremoniously commissioned. Opened in an atmosphere decorated with dragon dances and traditional red lanterns, this system became not only a vehicle, but also a new symbol of the region.

This complex set a new world record, surpassing the world's most famous "Crown Escalator" system in terms of its size and construction complexity.
