An unusual and surprising incident occurred in the Chinese city of Macau: a seventy-year-old woman was walking down the street, looking at a phone screen, when she was frightened to see a humanoid robot Unitree G1 following her.
A video circulating on social media shows a woman speaking to a robot with a caption, as well as the robot being taken away by police officers called to the scene.
It turned out that the robot belonged to an educational center in Macau, and its task was to participate in advertising and marketing campaigns in the area. According to Tovin Mack, a representative of the center, the robot couldn't bypass the woman because she stopped on the road and patiently waited for the road to clear.
As a result of the incident, the woman was under severe stress and felt unwell, so police officers took her to the hospital. This event amazed many on the Internet and showed that humanoid robots are getting closer and closer to our lives.
