Iran's Supreme Leader, Mujtaba Khamenei, has responded to the death of Security Council Secretary Larijani.
"I was deeply saddened by the tragic news that Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, was martyred along with his son and several colleagues.
He was an educated, wise, selfless, and experienced person who served the Islamic Republic for decades in the political, security, cultural, and administrative spheres.
Such terrorist acts only reflect the hostility of enemies and strengthen the resolve of our nation. Undoubtedly, justice will prevail.
I express my sincere condolences to his family members and relatives, especially to Ayatollah Amoli Larijani, and pray for the elevation of their ranks."
