Are the US preparing for a ground operation against Iran?

The US may further intensify its military activity in the Middle East. The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported that the US Navy's landing ship USS Tripoli, accompanied by a number of other warships, was heading towards the Persian Gulf.
It is expected that this military group will arrive in the region in approximately 5-7 days. This indicates that the situation in the region may worsen.
The publication notes that the USS Tripoli has a strong aviation group on board, with over 2,000 marines serving. Such landing ships are typically used for rapid response and support of ground operations.
In addition, the US command plans to send a second expeditionary group of Marines to the Middle East. This step indicates that Washington is seriously preparing for possible military scenarios.
According to experts, such actions are being taken to protect US strategic interests in the region, as well as to promptly respond to potential threats. At the same time, the deployment of such military forces is also considered a means of diplomatic pressure.
Officials have not yet made a clear statement about the start of a full-scale ground operation. However, observers do not rule out that these actions lay the groundwork for possible future military actions.
