North Korea's state media reported on March 29 that an improved rocket engine had been successfully tested. According to official statements, this new generation engine is intended for long-range missiles, which theoretically have the ability to reach the territory of the United States.

It was noted that the test process was personally supervised by the country's leader Kim Jong-un. He assessed this development as an "important achievement" that will further strengthen the state's strategic military power. This indicates that Pyongyang's activity in the field of military technology continues.

According to the Korean Central News Agency, the engine, made of composite carbon material, has a maximum thrust of 2,500 kilonewtons. This is significantly higher than the 1,970 kilonewton engine tested in September last year. Thus, the new technology represents a significant increase in power and efficiency.

North Korea says it aims to create missiles that are maneuverable, that is, more difficult to intercept by air defense systems. However, some international experts have raised the question of whether such engines can really fly such long distances, noting that such claims may be somewhat exaggerated.

At the same time, experts note another important point: missiles with solid-fuel engines are much easier to hide, transport and quickly launch than liquid-fuel ones. This gives them a significant advantage from a military strategy point of view.

In short, this test is seen as an important signal that could affect not only the regional but also the global security environment. The world continues to closely monitor such developments.
