Iran accepted Trump’s proposal and achieved peace in the Strait of Hormuz

While tensions on the global political stage were reaching their peak, Iran officially chose the path of peace. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Abbas Araghchi, issued an official response to Trump’s statement, announcing that if the United States halts military operations against Iran, Tehran is also ready to suspend its own defensive operations.

According to the minister’s statement, over the next two weeks, the process of safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be carried out “in coordination with the Iranian armed forces and taking technical restrictions into account.” This is a step aimed at ensuring stability in the region and the security of trade routes.

The Associated Press, citing officials familiar with the negotiation process, reported that Tehran may continue to collect transit fees from ships passing through the Iranian and Omani straits during this two-week period. This is intended to maintain the country’s strategic control and manage the waterways safely.

The statement of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council noted that by accepting Trump’s proposal, the Islamic Republic “abandoned desperate threats and deceptions.” It also emphasized that the country’s adversaries “suffered a historic defeat in the unjust, illegal, and criminal war against the Iranian people.” The statement acknowledged that Iran “achieved a great victory and forced the criminal United States to accept its ten-point plan.”

Under this agreement, the United States assumed the following obligations: not to attack Iran, to maintain Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz, to recognize the right to uranium enrichment, to lift all primary and secondary sanctions, to suspend all United Nations Security Council resolutions, to pay compensation, to withdraw U.S. military forces from the region, and to cease military actions on all fronts, including the fight against the resistance movement in Lebanon.

So far, the United States has not issued an official comment regarding specific demands in this plan. However, Iran’s step opens the way for peace in the region, increased economic activity, and also creates a foundation for new discussions and negotiations in global politics.

It is worth noting that this event has strategic significance for South Asia and the Middle East and is considered an important step in ensuring the stability of trade routes and energy supplies for several countries.

This “two-week pause” between Iran and the United States may become an important period of anticipation before the next major moves in global politics.
