American rapper David Anthony Burke, known by the pseudonym D4vd, was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the death of a 14-year-old girl. This was reported by “Al Jazeera”.
The body of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas was discovered by law enforcement officers inside a confiscated vehicle.
According to reports, Burke’s arrest took place seven months after police found Rivas’s decomposed body in the trunk of a Tesla vehicle registered in his name.
According to the investigation, two black bags were found inside the car. One contained a decomposed head and part of the body, while the other contained the remaining body parts. The Los Angeles County Prosecutor’s Office is expected to review formal charges against David Anthony Burke on Monday. The rapper’s lawyers stated that they will firmly defend his innocence.
For reference, the 21-year-old rapper is from Queens, New York. He gained widespread popularity online in 2022 after his song “Romantic Homicide” went viral on TikTok. Celeste Rivas went missing in 2024 at the age of 13. Later, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the body found in the rapper’s car belonged to the missing California teenager Celeste Rivas.
