Radev Coalition Secures Absolute Victory in Bulgarian Elections

In Bulgaria's early parliamentary elections, the "Progressive Bulgaria" coalition led by former President Rumen Radev secured a decisive victory.
According to the Central Election Commission, approximately 44.7% of voters cast their ballots for the coalition. This represents roughly 1.44 million voters.
Based on the election results, a total of five political forces have entered the country's parliament. The "Progressive Bulgaria" coalition secured 131 out of 240 seats, ensuring an absolute majority.
The remaining seats were distributed among several parties. Specifically, the GERB party won 39 seats, while the "We Continue the Change — Democratic Bulgaria" bloc secured 38 mandates.
Additionally, the "Movement for Rights and Freedoms" and the "Revival" parties also gained representation in parliament.
Rumen Radev characterized the result as "the victory of hope over distrust, and freedom over fear."
The full composition of the parliament is expected to be officially announced on April 25.
