Qolibof says US resources have diminished while Iran's capabilities remain intact

Qolibof AQSH resursi kamayganini, Eron imkoniyatlari saqlanganini aytdi

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Muhammad Boqir Qolibof, has issued a sharp statement regarding the ongoing economic competition and pressures from the United States. In his view, the U.S. has already played most of its major "cards" concerning sanctions and economic restrictions against Iran.

Expressing his views via social media, Qolibof emphasized that the perceived superiority displayed by the U.S. should be viewed with skepticism. He stated that a deeper look at the situation reveals that supply and demand capabilities are in mutual balance, implying there is no unilateral advantage in the economic struggle.

“They boast of their superiority. Let’s take a look: here, supply capabilities are equal to demand capabilities,” Qolibof wrote on the X platform.

The politician also touched upon Iran's significant strategic capabilities that have not yet been fully utilized. In particular, he noted key geopolitical points such as the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab-ul-Mandab Strait, as well as the potential to exert influence through oil pipelines. It is no secret that these factors hold serious leverage in the global energy market.

At the same time, the U.S. side has also implemented a series of economic measures. Specifically, attempts have been made to control the situation through mechanisms such as releasing strategic oil reserves into the market, artificially reducing demand, and adjusting price policies.

Qolibof stressed that Iran has not yet deployed all its capabilities, which could play a crucial role in future economic confrontations. According to him, the U.S., by contrast, has already exhausted a certain portion of its resources.

Furthermore, he highlighted the necessity of considering the increasing demand for energy resources in the coming months. In particular, the rise in consumption during the summer season could become an additional pressure factor for the United States.

In short, these statements indicate that global energy and economic competition are entering a new phase. The focus now remains on which side can utilize its capabilities more effectively.
