Victory Parade on Red Square shortened to record length

Today, May 9, the Victory Day parade held on Red Square became one of the shortest ceremonies in modern history. This was reported by Deutsche Welle.

According to reports, this year's parade lasted approximately 45 minutes. This figure is significantly shorter than in recent years, compared to the event lasting over 50 minutes in 2024 and one hour in 2022.

Experts note that parades between 2010 and 2019 usually lasted at least an hour, and in some years, they stretched up to 1.5 hours.

One of the most important aspects of this year's parade is that no military equipment was displayed on Red Square. Instead of tanks and missile systems, only marching military columns passed through.

Also, during the live broadcast, special video clips were shown instead of the traditional display of equipment. They depicted drones, nuclear weapons, and modern military technologies.

There were also changes in the parade stands, as some state and government representatives who previously participated in larger numbers were absent this time. The main focus was on Security Council members and high-ranking officials.
